The HKUST Library presents
This special exhibition highlights the value that the Library brings to the members of the University. The Library is becoming a unique learning hub, integrating information, technology, and expertise to support learning, teaching and research activities at HKUST.
The range of services provided by the HKUST Library is now much broader than a traditional academic library. In addition to a wide variety of services, Library staff members are also involved in various activities which substantially contribute to students’ whole person development and to the enhancement of their skills set for life-long learning. When the Information Commons was established in 2006 and expanded in 2009, the Library made considerable efforts to ensure the environment provided best supports academic learning and creativity.
The Learning commons being created in the Library, as well as the Library building extension, will offer environments that address rapidly changing learning needs, bringing together innovative technology, information content, and learning support services in a physical space that results in a welcoming learning hub on our campus. This learning hub will become a focal point on our campus where the elements of knowledge, study, collaboration, and discovery usefully come together to enrich the work and learning.
Supporting Your Learning, Teaching and Research
HKUST Library’s primary mandate is to support your learning, teaching, and research. To this end, Library staff members build and maintain an extensive array of material in multiple formats, covering many different subjects.

The Library selects, acquires, classifies, catalogs, organizes, manages, and preserves these print, digital and multi-media collections so you can access them easily and use them effectively.
