Join us for a talk where Dr Starry Lee Wai-king will share the core spirit of “Two Sessions”. Drawing on her experience as a representative of the National People’s Congress, she will share her profound feelings about participating in the Two Sessions. She will also discuss how to further deepen international cooperation under the “One Country, Two Systems” framework, promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between mainland China and Hong Kong.

About the Speaker: Dr Starry Lee, GBS, JP
李女士現任第14屆全國人民代表大會常務委員會委員、立法會內務委員會主席、民建聯會務顧問、香港教育大學榮譽教授及香港科技大學榮譽院士。李女士2000年至2023年擔任九龍城區議員，2008年獲選為立法會議員至今。2015年至2023年擔任民建聯主席。李女士於2024年取得清華大學法學博士學位。
 

The Hon Dr Starry Lee Wai-king, GBS, JP, is currently a member of Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (the “HKSAR”) and the chairlady of the House Committee of the Legislative Council. She is also a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, a Honorary Professor of the Education University of Hong Kong and a Honorary Fellow of HKUST.

Dr Lee was a member of Kowloon City District Council of the HKSAR from 2000 to 2023 and has been a member of the Legislative Council of the HKSAR since 2008. During the period from 2015 to 2023, Dr Lee acted as the chairlady of Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong. In 2024, Dr Lee received the Doctoral Degree in Laws from the Tsinghua University.

The talk will be conducted in Cantonese.
