As a researcher, you continuously collect references to build your own knowledge base. Reference managers are software that help you to:

• Build and store your references
• Organize and manage citations within folders
• Build bibliographies
• Automatically format and insert citations in your writing

This workshop gives you an overview of the four popular choices of reference managing software: EndNote Basic, Mendeley, Refworks and Zotero. We will use Zotero to demonstrate how to collect sources, organize them, cite in-text and generate bibliographies. You can bring your own device or use the Mackintosh workstations at the Library classroom.
