Love Data Week 2024
Research Data Management Tips

Happy February! 12-16 February 2024 marks the annual international event of Love Data Week.

Love Data Week provides an opportunity to raise awareness and build a community of data users and data scientists to engage on topics related to research data management, sharing, privacy, preservation, reuse, and library-based research data services.

This year, the theme is “My kind of Data,” which focuses on learning about data equity and inclusion, disciplinary communities, and creating a kinder world through data.

The Love Data Week organizer, ICPSR, compiled a list of events hosted by various participating institutions and organizations and we may filter by the ones that are online and open to all. You will find more events using hashtag #LoveData24 on Twitter. If any of them catch your attention, we encourage you to join and participate!

Are you seeking tools to support data management planning and data preservation for your research projects? At HKUST Library, the Research & Learning Support team is dedicated to provided research data services. We are currently in the process of upgrading the data repository, DataSpace@HKUST, to provide researchers with a smoother and more user-friendly experience for data sharing.

Throughout the semester, we offer training sessions as part of the "Researchers' Series" on topics such as Data Collection & Analysis and Data Management. We also encourage you to explore our Research Bridge blogposts on Data Management to stay aligned with the best practices of research data management.

Lastly, we would like to wish you a happy, healthy, and prosperous Year of the Dragon!
