Data Management Plan

A data management plan (DMP) is an active document which you start writing at the early stage of your research, and continue to revise it as your research progresses. A DMP describes the data you plan to collect, intended data organization, storage and safe-keeping mechanism. It is becoming common for institutions and research funders to require researchers submit DMPs with research proposals or grant applications.

This unit will help you to:

  • Understand how DMP can help you manage your research
  • Draft a DMP using DMPTool@HKUST
