About the Talk
COVID-19 impacted Hong Kong for three years (2020-22). Prof Kenneth Leung was a senior officer in the Environmental Protection Department and accompanied Prof Kwok-Yung Yuen in many outbreak investigations during the pandemic. In this talk, he will share his experience in conducting virus transmission investigation for various outbreak cases and his personal journey during the pandemic.
About the Speaker
Prof Kenneth LEUNG is the Director of Sustainability/Net-Zero Office at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining the university, he was the Principal Assistant Secretary (Air Policy) at the Environment and Ecology Bureau and Assistant Director (Air Policy) at the Environmental Protection Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Prof Leung was a member of Hong Kong Government’s Multi-Departmental Response Team during COVID-19 and was responsible for outbreak investigation.
