About the Talk
Publishing is never easy and publishing art books in Hong Kong is even more challenging. Since founding Asia One Books in 1997, Mr. Peter Lau has led his company to create illustrative books representing the city’s art scene as it develops – documenting its fascinating stories while bringing wider exposure to Hong Kong’s most talented artists, photographers, illustrators and designers. Each publication can be regarded as a work of art in itself, which is created with unstinting dedication to craftsmanship in design, colour management and printing. Mr. Peter Lau, Publisher of Asia One Books, will share with us his vision and experience of working with legendary photographers like Fan Ho, Michael Wolf and Daido Moriyama, and also emerging artists such as Jeanie Leung and KC Kwan (Winner of the First Hong Kong Photo Book Awards). Students will get 1-hour course credit after attending the Talk for fulfillment of Healthy Lifestyle (HLTH1010) Course Requirements. 出版業向來面對重重挑戰與難關；如要於香港經營藝術出版社，更是難上加難。自2007年成立宏亞出版社以來，劉文邦先生致力出版以圖像為主的藝術書籍，並以推廣香港題材及本地藝術家為目標，希望讓他們的作品更為人熟悉，並開拓更廣闊的市場。宏亞出版的書籍猶如藝術創作一樣匠心獨運，從概念構思、色彩管理、印刷製作均一絲不苟，屢獲業界肯定。

劉先生將與我們分享他的出版抱負，亦會談及過往與一眾攝影大師包括何藩、Michael Wolf、森山大道，以及新晉藝術家如梁媛媛和關錦昌（首屆攝影集比賽冠軍）的合作經驗。

Having immersed himself in the banking and finance industry for over a decade, in 1997 Lau made a bold move to establish his own printing enterprise – Asia One Printing Limited. In 18 years, Lau expanded a vast array of businesses, including publishing, creative marketing and design, exhibition and event management, premium sourcing, photo book and related products retailing, as well as logistics management. As a modern integrated communication enterprise, Asia One Communications Group features diversified one-stop services.

Over the past several years, Lau has been actively devoting to social service organizations. He is the council member of Hong Kong Printer Association and Institute of Print-Media Professionals, and also the member of Printing and Publishing Training Board of Vocational Training Council and The Hong Kong Institute of Directors.

劉文邦先生是宏亞傳訊集團的創始人兼董事總經理，多年來積極發展優質的商業印刷及藝術出版業務，是本地印刷出版界的後起之秀。劉氏在銀行及金融業擁有逾十年經驗，於1997 年決心轉行，成功創立自己的印刷企業──宏亞印務有限公司。十八年來，帶領公司由一家小型印刷廠開始，逐步拓展多元化綜合傳訊業務，全面支援客戶需求，真正實現多元及一站式的服務理念。

劉氏目前是香港印刷業商會理事會理事、印刷媒體專業人員協會執委會委員、職業訓練局印刷及出版業訓練委員會會員及香港董事學會會員。

座談會簡介冼國林師傅將會在座談會上分享他學習詠春的原因和心得，並深入淺出地講解詠春的歷史和特色，當中包括詠春傳承近300年的優點及缺點，及詠春以小搏大、避重就輕和以柔制剛的精神。席間他更會以實戰經驗論述他對詠春拳法的獨特見解及學武歷程中對人生及事業上的啟發。冼師傅一直致力將詠春精神發揚光大，而詠春流派繁多，冼師傅亦會逐一介紹各派別，並解釋詠春的正統及輩份。另外，冼師傅曾擔任《葉問》系列電影的詠春總顧問及參與設計戲中的詠春動作，在拍攝期間更親身教授甄子丹，黃秋生等演員詠春拳。有見及此，他亦會在座談會上分享詠春教學的竅門，讓大家看到詠春武術的全貌。冼師傅的著作《冼國林—詠春》將於座談會後即場限量發售，歡迎向作者索取親筆簽名。冼國林先生簡介冼國林先生為兩所上市公司的主席。眾所周知，冼先生除了是金融界的奇才外，亦是武術界的佼佼者。冼先生自十七歲開始學習詠春，師承一代宗師葉問之子葉準。冼先生現身兼香港詠春聯會主席及世界詠春聯會副主席，並一直致力推廣及發展香港詠春。 為了加深普羅大眾對詠春的瞭解，冼先生於2008年發起與其他電影投資者一起出品詠春宗師電影—《葉問》，其後更身兼監製拍攝《葉問前傳》及《葉問—終極一戰》，而《葉問—終極一戰》更獲選為第37屆香港國際電影節的開幕電影，在中港兩地掀起一股詠春熱潮，被《亞洲週刊》稱為「重現一度湮沒的武林」。除了推出一系列詠春電影外，冼先生亦於2013年化身為作家出版《冼國林—詠春》一書，講述詠春的歷史和特質，並論述他對詠春拳法、腳法、兵器、心法的獨特見解。 如有查詢，請聯絡 李先生 (2358-6769)。
