We manage technology applications and computing systems to support library operations and services:

  • oversee and maintain the Library's integrated systems, manage users' access to electronic resources
  • develop and manage library applications such as room booking, websites, access gates control, tech-item kiosk, and many more
  • develop software and digital platforms for digital collections, including our institutional repositories, University Archives, and Special Collections
  • foster IT collaboration between the Library and campus partners, such as theses submission, HKUST card access
  • manage servers, ensure cybersecurity, and monitor the performance of the Library's IT systems
  • maintain computing equipment and keep them updated; we offer technical assistance when needed
