Card Access
Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the University must use their university or library cards for entry. Access to the Learning Commons after the Library closes is restricted to current HKUST students and staff only, using their own university cards. Children of faculty and staff under the age of eleven must be accompanied by parents or other responsible adults.
Visitors to the Library
Non-HKUST users with genuine academic research needs may apply for a Reader Card or a Borrower Card, subject to approval by the Library. In the summertime (June to mid-August) and during Winter Break (January), non-HKUST users may enter the Library after completing an online registration form.
For group visits, please contact Access Services by email to lbcirc@ust.hk.
Casual visitors may be entertained by staff at the service counters on a case-by-case basis.
For enquiries, call 2358-6772 or email lbcirc@ust.hk

Visits of unscheduled groups are limited to the Gallery area and should not go beyond the access gate.
In exceptional cases, tours conducted by library staff can be arranged through the Library Administration Office (library@ust.hk).
