Which Rooms You May Reserve Online

These rules apply to Group Study Rooms, LG3 Seminar Room, Media & Discussion Rooms, IC Learning Spaces, AV Editing Suites, and 4-Person Study Pods. Violators may be blocked from further bookings:
- The rooms and pods are for group use by HKUST staff and students only. Individuals should study in other locations or pods.
- Rooms and pods that are not reserved are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Each group can book up to 2 hours per session, 1 session per day, 2 sessions per week, all rooms or pods combined.
- Reservations may be made on the same day or at most 2 weeks in advance.
- If your group is more than 10 minutes late, the reservation is no longer in force and another group can take the room or pod for the rest of that booking.
- At least 2 persons must be present at all times during a session. If only 1 person is in the room for more than 10 minutes in the middle of a session, another group may take the room for the remaining time of that session.
- Blocking the view through the glass door/window in any way is not allowed. Library staff member reserves the right to enter the room for security checks if necessary.
- The Rooms are provided mainly for group study and discussion. They should not be used for other activities, including but not limited to student society activities and examinations. Departments may make reservations for special use by sending a request to lbcommons@ust.hk for approval.

- The pods are provided mainly for study, video-conferencing, online interviews or program attendance, and other activities needed by 1-2 persons. They should not be used for other activities, including but not limited to student society activities and examinations.
