Social Program
Registered participants and their accompanying persons are cordially invited to attend all the social programs sponsored by the conference. With the exception of the Conference Banquet, all events are free of charge.
Welcoming Reception
The Welcoming Reception will be held in the lobby of Wei Hing Theatre immediately after the first day’s sessions. Adjacent to the Wei Hing Theatre is the City University Art Gallery. Delegates interested to view the current exhibition could get to the Art Gallery through the connected veranda.

Cultural Event
Zhejiang Art Theatre for Beijing and Kun Operas will perform a few well-known excerpts from “The Peony Pavilion”, and others.

Conference Banquet
Conference Banquet will be held at a revolving restaurant on top of Hopewell Center, one of the tallest buildings in Hong Kong. One can taste a delicious international buffet while enjoying the beautiful panoramic evening view of Hong Kong. Buses will be provided to transport delegates from City University to the restaurant and then back to the conference hotels.
Since the banquet venue can only accommodate 250 persons, you are asked to complete the “Conference Banquet” form and turn it in at the Registration Desk, where you can pick up a banquet coupon.

Tour of the Chinese Civilisation Center, School of Creative Media, and Library is scheduled on 20 January 2001, 14:00 – 15:00.Please gather at the Information and Service Desk at G3514, City University of Hong Kong at 13:50.
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
English and Putonghua tours will be conducted.
Optional Tours
Two self-funded optional tours have been arranged for conference participants to have a glimpse of Hong Kong and to taste the essence of this vibrant city. Register at the Tour Desk next to the Registration Desk. Information on other tours is available upon request.
1) Hong Kong Island Orientation (HK$280/person)
