The mission of the University Archives is to preserve and make selectively accessible the records of HKUST, including documents of student activities and other historically significant materials relating to the University or to its impact in the region. Archives staff works with offices in collecting and the retention of documents.
Archival Collections are described in the online finding aids.
A significant portion of the collection is digitized in the Digital University Archives.
Many of the administrative records in the University Archives are not currently available for public use; access to them requires special permission from the office that created them. See our access policies for more information.
To request materials or inquire about their availability, please fill out the Archival Materials Request form. The Reading Room of University Archives and Special Collections generally operates during the University’s office hours. If you plan to visit, please make an appointment in advance via email (lbarsc@ust.hk) or phone (2358-6783).
