The Library now provides a trial on Scopus AI, a built-in function within the Scopus platform that accepts queries in natural language and provides concise AI-generated summaries. Try it out. Your feedback is needed!
As most of us know, Scopus is one of the largest academic databases for scholarly works, including journal articles and conference proceedings. When you enter your query into Scopus AI, it draws its answer from metadata and abstracts from Scopus documents published since 2013.
Here is a typical workflow for using Scopus AI, which will also guide you through most of its features.
1. Enter your natural-language query to begin. A concise “Summary” of the results will be generated, along with references. You can explore further with an “Expanded Summary”.
2. View a graphical representation of the keywords to reveal hidden connections and insights.
3. Pinpoint the most influential papers on your topic in the “Foundational Papers” section.
4. Find “Topic Experts” in the field, with explanations of their expertise relevant to your query.
5. Go deeper into related queries to discover new perspectives.
