With the fall semester just around the corner, this post highlights how you can make the most of the Library’s Research Support services to help you get off to a smooth start.

The Research Support Services team help faculty, staff and student researchers on all aspects relating to open access, research profile, research impact and research data management. We organize scholarly communication related workshops and events, provide citation search services, and we are also responsible for the maintenance of HKUST SPD – the University’s Institutional Repository. Fun fact 1: In academic year 2020-2021, we added over 9,000 new publications to SPD and created 139 researcher profiles. Fun fact 2: The RSS team at the Library turned 3 years old on Aug 1 2021!

Looking into next year, we expect adding more publications with full-text access for our faculty. With opportunities such as the preparation of HKUST-GZ campus and Open Science initiatives happening around the world, we also expect more outreach, communication, and collaborations with faculty members.
