Welcome back from the summer! We are delighted to see more students on campus and in the library! It’s also about time to bring this term’s Researchers’ Series program to your attention.
The Researchers’ Series is the Library’s workshop program for researchers. It covers topics that relate to efficient management of research process in four themes, namely Authorship, Data, Copyright, and Impact. Some sessions are qualified for Professional Development Course (PDC) for HKUST research postgraduate students.
New/Revamped Courses
In this Fall term we will offer one new workshop on the topic of predatory journals “Predatory Journal: Avoid Being Their Prey“. Two of our courses, “Open Access: What Where How” and “Reference Management Tools”, will be revamped and offered again in this term too. By default, the classes will be conducted face-to-face in our teaching venues in the Library.
Research/Teaching Support to HKUST (Guangzhou)
With the official opening of HKUST (GZ) on 1 September, we are in the process of expanding our workshop offerings to research students in Guangzhou campus. The courses will be conducted via Zoom and GZ students will be able to register via their PDC course registration system in due course.
Details about the workshops and registration information are available on the Researchers’ Series webpage. You can also visit the Seminars Archive for past seminars and talks.
We wish you a fruitful new academic year!
