Are you ready to elevate your research and teaching capabilities with text and data analysis skills? Constellate, a platform for facilitating text analysis research, is launching its first-ever Skill-Build program in Sep 2024. This is your opportunity to join a community of learners and experts, engage in hands-on projects, and earn valuable digital certifications.
What is Constellate?
Constellate is a platform designed to make text analysis research accessible to everyone. Whether you are new to data analysis or an experienced researcher, Constellate offers an intuitive workflow for importing, analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting your text data without writing any code.
For those seeking more advanced methods, Constellate allows the integration of custom Python scripts and complex algorithms. The platform also provides access to rich datasets, primarily covering literature from the JSTOR and Portico databases. You can read more about their sources here.
Skill-Build Program 2024 Overview
Constellate’s Skill-Build 2024 program is a comprehensive 10-week journey designed to help students, educators, and researchers master text analysis and data literacy skills. The program combines live and asynchronous classes, offering flexibility and support for learners of all levels. You’ll have the chance to explore topics such as Python programming, large language models (LLMs), automated text classification using ChatGPT’s API, and even how to teach data literacy.
Throughout the program, you’ll work on a hands-on project that not only enhances your learning but also gives you the chance to earn a digital badge—a recognized certification that you can showcase on your CV, LinkedIn, or personal website.
Who is Eligible?
The Skill-Build program is open to anyone from participating institutions, including undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, staff, librarians, and more. HKUST is one of the participating institutions (detail here)!
